A QUESTION HANGING IN THE
AIR
Those were “the days
of miracles and wonders,”
unable to count
one’s blessings, they were
so thick and ecstatic,
and left behind memories
and images of Light
to illumine the dark of mind
for the journey ahead.
But now, is push
coming to shove?
In the flush of those thrills
where was the agony
of dying to self,
which the Master says
defines the Path?
One foot in front of the other:
There is no actual voice
saying “Give
up this desire!"
but...it's very nuanced...
certain cherished habits
may be getting "too heavy"
to continue.
Is it the silent voice of God?
Is it?
